EYE MOVEMENT DESENSITIZATION AND REPROCESSING (EMDR)

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a psychotherapy that enables people to heal from the symptoms and emotional distress that are the result of disturbing life experiences (traumatic events).
As the mind and body is naturally working towards healing, EMDR trained Therapists are able to support this process more fully through Eye Movements and Reprocessing techniques that engages core adaptive processes in the brain.
EMDR activates core negative beliefs, memories and body sensations and is able to shift them into more positive views of self, treating flashbacks, distressing dreams and building a more positive future experience.
EMDR also allows for individuals to find more peace, resilience and freedom from their specific trauma history. EMDR is also helpful treatment of phobias, anxiety, panic disorder, grief and loss.
